Dirt Road Tools designs and builds easy-to-use and durable tools you will need on the road less traveled. Dirt Road Tools was founded by Kyle and Erin Fleming. They are both engineers in the aerospace industry and private pilots. While exploring dirt roads and camping in the wilderness of Washington state they started designing tools to make the experience easier. Cooking over an open fire is a staple whenever they spend time outdoors. Many camping experiences begin after work as the sun is setting, only to find rocks under a headlamp in order to finish assembling a fire pit to cook dinner over. Not only is a fire on the ground more difficult to cook over, it’s less safe than a portable fire pit that can contain the fire, be dismantled and packed out. That’s why they created the Road Grill; it is a portable fire pit with built-in cooking attachments.
